We want you to be a happy customer! Billy Wray Music Shop offers a 14 Day return policy that includes new and used gear. All new gear is covered by manufacturer warranty. Used gear is repaired at our discretion within the 14 Day return policy - you always have the option for just returning your used gear for a refund during the 14 day return period. We offer an array of guitar technician services, up to and including out full setup package. Our techs have a combined 30 years of guitar and bass setup experience and will do everything possible to make your axe sing! Plus, if you buy an acoustic guitar from us (new or used) we offer free lifetime truss rod adjustment for your instrument. Technician service is available for our walk-in customers only.
We are happy to restring your guitars for you for the purchase price of strings (unless you supply them) and our restring fee.
We offer repair services for most instruments and amplifiers - even band instruments.
We currently have two great instructors teaching lessons in-house.
Philip Johansen is currently providing guitar, piano, and bass instruction. Philip uses the Hal Leonard Guitar Method as well as Nick Vecchio's Beginning Guitar for adults.
Philip uses the Alfred's Basic Piano Library when teaching keyboard. Lessons are not limited to book instruction, as your skill improves, Philip will also teach you how to play popular songs. Maria Wilson is currently teaching guitar, electic bass, ukulele, and snare drum in our private lesson facility. She is a premier solo guitarist that has been teaching profesionally for more than twenty years. She has studied with some of the best instructors in the country, including David Cullen (Windom Hill), Marcia Englar (Peabody Conservatory), Frank Romeo (Manhattan School of Music), and Michael Manring for electric bass. Maria was the winner of the 2002, 2003, 2005, and 2010 Fingerstyle Guitar Scholarship at Duquesne University Guitar and Bass Workshop, sponsored by Martin Guitar, Fender, and The Guitar Society of Fine Arts. Maria is also a graduate of Harrisburg Area Community College with a Music Marketing Degree. She is currently teaching on Mondays and is planning on expanding her availablity soon.
